The amazing thing about living in Singapore is the fact that we experience Summer all year round, and that we are so close to beach destinations one can only dream of (i.e. Bali, Maldives, Phuket, etc.). We are also perpetually in resort-appropriate wear, but that doesn’t mean we’re sloppily dressed. Here are some of my must-have summer essentials that can bring you from the beach to brunch with friends. I’ve selected pieces from brands based overseas so that we can widen our choices when it comes to shopping online (is it me or am I tired of hearing the regular ASOS and whatnot). The brands below  include Sézane, an Parisien label committed to offer quality collections, produced fairly, and sold at the fairest price. Another brand I’ve discovered recently is Araks, a NYC-based brand that specialises in selling simple yet quirky bikini and lingerie. I love how their swimwear pieces scream summer with bright pops of colour and breezy silhouettes, super cute! Other brands I’ve included in this list, and which need no more introduction, are LA-based Cult Gaia, and Spanish luxury label Loewe!

Cult Gaia Stella Rattan

Turn heads with this intricately designed Stella Rattan tote from Cult Gaia. The bag is specially hand-woven from structured rattan and lightweight raffia. I immediately fell in love with this bag when I saw it on Net-A-Porter.

Sézane Josie Dress

Go back to the simpler days of the 1950s with the Sézane Josie Dress. It is a burnt orange polka dotted dress that is a great combination of sweet and stylish. A slightly flared midi dress that is cooling enough for Singapore’s scorching hot weather.

Sézane Martin Low Sandals
