My Skincare Journey With The LUNA Mini 2

I’ve always talked about the importance of skincare on the blog, and as someone who is constantly going for photo shoots and events, having healthy and radiant skin is of utmost importance to me. It’s honestly the first and most important step to me feeling confident and camera-ready which is why I’m always experimenting and investing in ramping up my skincare routine.

Today, I’ll be sharing the latest addition to my skincare arsenal—the FOREO LUNA Mini 2. You have probably seen FOREO’s products around any local Sephora and departmental stores. But for those who haven’t discovered FOREO yet, they’re the creators of the world’s first silicone and ultra-gentle pulsating facial cleansing brush.

When I was first introduced to this product, I felt rather sceptical. I didn’t see the need to use a device to cleanse my face, or how much it could change my skin’s health. However, after giving the new FOREO LUNA Mini 2 a try, I was surprised by the amazing difference it made!

After my first use, I’d already noticed an immediate visible difference to my skin. The blackheads on my nose shrank in size, and my skin had a visibly healthier and softer overall appearance.

Even after long days of wearing makeup and running around for shoots under the hot sun, the LUNA Mini 2 keeps my breakouts at bay by eliminating any residual makeup and completely unclogging my pores!

Facial Brush For All Skin Types

I’ve got rather sensitive skin, so introducing new skincare steps into my routine can be daunting. If you have skin that’s easily irritable like mine, you’ll understand the fear of having red and blotchy patches on your face whenever you apply any unnecessary pressure or chemicals to it.

I was really surprised when I used the LUNA Mini 2 as it didn’t feel harsh on my skin at all. The device is customised with different touchpoints catering to different people of different skin types. The silicone bristles range from tiny slim ones for finely cleansing sensitive skin like mine to thicker brushes for people with oilier skin.

I personally feel that the lower levels work best for my sensitive skin, with the mild pulsations mimicking a soft and gentle facial massage. It’s also completely waterproof so if you’re someone who prefers doing their cleansing mid-shower, this will work perfectly for you.

My Skincare Routine

Diving straight into my skincare routine, I like to start with prepping my hair and keeping it off my face. Once that’s done, I splash my face with some water and work a dollop of facial cleanser all over my face until it lathers. After doing all that, I run the LUNA Mini 2 under some water before activating it and, moving it around my face in circular motions. Alternatively, you could apply your cleanser straight onto the bristles before working it into your skin, it’s completely up to you!

It has eight different pulsation intensities that can easily be controlled with the +/- buttons on each side of the power button, but I prefer to keep mine on low so as to avoid irritating my sensitive skin.

I usually start by focusing on my problem areas, which for me is the left side of my face. The pores on my cheeks tend to clog from all the makeup that I wear throughout the day so focusing the device around this area helps me to unclog my pores.

When the device starts to pulsate, it’s time to move on to the next facial area for cleansing. For me, that’s my right cheek, followed by my forehead. The entire process takes only about 2 minutes, which is perfect for my tight schedules.

Features Of The FOREO LUNA Mini 2

With its intricate design, it may seem really hard to sanitise but it’s actually no hassle at all. Underneath its unique physical form, the ultra-hygienic silicone is non-porous to resist bacteria buildup. And unlike other cleansing brushes, you won’t have to replace the head of the bristles. In fact, this brush is 35 times more hygienic than a standard facial cleansing brush with nylon bristles!

An added benefit about the LUNA Mini 2 is, as the name suggests, a mini cleansing device that fits snugly in my pouch. Since I’m always travelling and on the go, saving space isn’t the easiest thing to do. Instead of compromising on travel-sized skincare products and makeup, bringing the mini cleansing device is my favourite way to achieve that fresh-faced summer glow whenever, wherever.

I also love how this cleansing brush has a battery lifespan that lasts almost forever (300 uses off a single full charge to be exact) and I hardly have to worry about it failing on me in the middle of a trip. Plus, it also comes with a convenient USB charging system so I can charge it in the go.

My Experience With The LUNA Mini 2

The LUNA Mini 2 has become such a mainstay in my beauty bag that I’ve started recommending it to my fellow beauty and travel-loving friends. Everyone has really loved it and I’ve heard nothing but positive feedback, so if you’re looking for a gift that your loved ones could actually use, do consider the LUNA Mini 2—it works on all skin types and comes in six different colours (there’s black for men too!)

It comes with a 2-year limited warranty and promises a 10-year quality guarantee as well, so you don’t worry about having to get yourself a replacement. There are also great deals and seasonal discounts at the FOREO’s website from time to time, so check them out if you want to learn more about their awesome range of products!

If you have any of the same skin worries as I do, or if you just want a healthier glow, you should definitely add the LUNA Mini 2 to your skincare routine today for a game-changing addition to your skincare routine! I hope you’ll love it as much as I do! Here’s to brighter and healthier skin!
