We Review The Marc Jacobs Beauty Holiday 2018 Collection

It may be a little early to break out the bubbly, but we’re already in the holiday mood this month with the Marc Jacobs Beauty Holiday 2018 Collection, The Shine Factory! The range, that comes in gorgeous gold packaging, was inspired by the glamorous aesthetic of the mod era–which explains the rich jewel tones and mega-watt shine we see in this collection!

The Shine Factory comes with 6 highly pigment shades of the new See-Quins Glam Glitter Eyeshadow, O!Mega Glaze Luminizer and a limited edition Enamoured Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer–which we’ve reviewed–and 2 cute sets! To find out which part of this collection (if not all) you should take home with you, keep reading!

See-Quins Glam Glitter Eyeshadow

The See-Quins Glam Glitter Eyeshadow, which first made its debut on the designer’s Fall 2018 Runway, now arrives in a full spectrum of high-shine and high-pigment shades. This creamy-to-the-touch eyeshadow is created using a demi-pressed process, which allows the shadows to have a more vivid colour payoff! This also gives maximum sparkle with minimum glitter fallout.

The shadows can be blended and applied on the lids with a brush for a softer, lighter look, or with your fingers for a more full-on glamourous look for the festive season! Though the fall-out from these shadows is far less than most glittery shades, we recommend applying this before you work on your foundation!

O!Mega Glaze Luminizer in Gilty

The Marc Jacobs O!Mega Glaze in Gilty may seem like your usual highlighter, but it’s much more! The superfine, jet-milled powder goes on flawlessly for a high-shine glow that doesn’t appear grainy in real life, or on camera–and can be worn on the face and all over the body! The warm, rosy gold luminizer also comes in an over-sized gold compact that makes getting all dolled up feel fun! This limited edition shade is packed in an oversized gold mirrored compact that opens to reveal the peachy gold pressed powder formulated with micro-fine particles. Suitable for use on both face and body.

I love that you don’t have to be heavy-handed with this product–the pigment pay-off is evident from the first swipe, and leaves your skin feeling so light and weightless! I also particularly love how little it transfers, making it my top pick for an all-over body luminizer you can wear from day to night.

Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer

This Enamored Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer, aptly named Shine A Light, comes in a dazzling shade of gold that can be worn on its own or as a lipstick topper. Formulated with a unique Triple Shine Complex, this lip lacquer also has long-lasting hold and shine that helps create the appearance of plumper lips!

I’ve always been a fan of Marc Jacobs Beauty’s lip products, and this is no exception. This glossy lacquer is as light as a balm, and doesn’t feel sticky at all! It also has a nice menthol feel to it, making your lips feel treated and moisturised upon application!

The Marc Jacobs Beauty Holiday 2018 Collection will be launching online on 11 October 2018 and in stores at Sephora on 8 November 2018! This glittery collection will only be available for a limited time so be sure to try out these festive shades when you see them!
