Spring 2019 Instagram Fashion Trends
Previewing the latest trends at Fashion Week is a dream. But seeing my favourite Instagram fashion muses style these trends as everyday pieces is what really gets me ready to hit that “add to cart” button every time. That’s why this style guide is all about the Spring 2019 Instagram fashion trends that have been all over Instagram, and how to wear them, so read ahead!
Biker Shorts And Belt Bags
Top & Biker Shorts: H&M
Arguably one of the biggest trends of the season, biker shorts and belt bags have solidified the return of the 90s. Both can be worn separately for an equally chic effect, but it’s rare to see two trends work together so spectacularly we just couldn’t resist.
Take a cue from our favourite fashion insiders and pair with an oversized blazer, jacket, or crisp white blouse. We opted for a vinyl leather jacket to up that vintage vibe and cinched the waist with a crocodile skin-embossed belt bag.
Leather Pieces and Bold Prints
Bodysuit & Leather Pants: H&M
Leather has always been synonymous with luxury–but of course, we’d like to urge everyone to look for vegan and cruelty-free options. This spring we see leather return in unlikely pieces. Think button-downs, duster-length coats and cropped pants.
Since leather pieces are neutral enough to pair with anything, double up on your trends by working it into a mixed print outfit. Our simple trick to keeping a bold mixed print look sleek is to work with a colour scheme. To go with our black cropped leather pants, we paired a black and white striped jacket with an illustrated bodysuit of the same scheme. If you’re working with brown leathers, try playing with tans, creams and mustard yellows!
Strappy Sandals And All White Ensembles
Hat, Sandals & Pants: H&M
Nothing says spring like a crisp white outfit. And while we saw beiges dominate the Spring 2019 catwalks, all-white ensembles reigned supreme as our favourite street-style stars turned up for fashion week.
Our look takes a more tropically appropriate turn with a low-back bodysuit and corduroy pant combo. Complete this look with a pair of strappy faux snakeskin sandals–a major shoe trend this season–for an elegant outfit that could take you to the beach, or to dinner and drinks.
It’s worth mentioning that animal prints are still going strong this season. So punctuate your outfits with an animal print (or two) like we did here!
We hope this style guide has given you some Instagram #ootd inspiration. And of course, we’re always eager to see how you like to work the latest trends of the season, so tags us at our Instagram, and we’ll see you there!
