As part of our exciting Local Beauty Edit 2020 lineup, we invited three personalities from the local beauty scene to share with us a skincare and makeup look using their favourite products from Singaporean beauty brands.

Whether you’re looking for a fresh-faced look, full-on glam or something in between, we’ve got you covered so keep on scrolling!

1. Andrea Chong (@dreachong)

When she doesn’t have shoots for the day, Andrea usually heads out with minimal makeup (and sometimes even bare faced!) which is why skincare is a big part of her beauty routine. She nails the fresh-faced look with a good skin prep and a pop of colour on the lips. With her busy schedule, Andrea is always on the lookout for multitasking products that effectively target her skin concerns so she can make the most out of her skincare routine.

She starts off with a hydrating, vitamin-packed toner like Porcelain’s Soothe Deep Hydrating Lotion, which can also be used as a quick pick-me-up during the day and even as a setting spray. Fortified with natural oils and antioxidant vitamins, a quick spritz is all you need for supple, revitalised skin.

A few drops of Skin Inc’s Custom Blended Serum to target tired skin comes next, followed by a dose of Balm Kitchen’s luxurious Omega Booster Facial Oil to plump up and brighten the skin.

Finish off with a quick swipe of Handmade Heroes’ Cocoa Friggin’ Fantastic Lip Tint on the lips, for a soft, rosy flush.

2. Anda The Sea (@andathesea_)

We were in awe of Anda’s radiant complexion when she turned up barefaced for the shoot at our office. Behind the beautiful makeup looks you see on her Instagram lies youthful, healthy skin. Her secret? Using skincare that combats ageing, soothes redness and gives the skin a dewy finish. Once a glowy canvas has been created, she then uses makeup to enhance her features and tops it off with a perfect matte nude lip.

Anda begins with The Skin Firm’s Youth Therapy Concentrated Essence, a wrinkle-banishing toner that instantly brightens up the skin.

3. Dineaish Rajendran (@dineaish)

Content creator Dineaish pulls off bold and head-turning makeup looks like no other (See his Instagram!), and watching him do his makeup at our office very much felt like a YouTube tutorial brought to life as he expertly explained each step of his makeup routine. Aside from creating content, Dineaish is also a performer, so sweat-proof makeup and setting spray are must-haves to keep everything in place!

Tip from Dineaish: even those with oily skin should moisturise, especially before you put on makeup. Moisturiser creates a smooth base for layering on your foundation, and can help makeup stay on longer!

Dineaish’s typical skincare routine is fuss-free with just three steps. Since he has oily skin, he leans towards lightweight, blemish-fighting formulations. PSA Skin Heroine is Dineaish’s first pick–a quick-absorbing toner packed with chemical exfoliants and botanical extracts to clean pores and calm the skin.

He then moves on to apply PSA Skin’s The Most hydrating serum, to replenish moisture and revive the skin’s pH levels for a radiant complexion…

…finishing off with Dr GL’s Moisturiser which deeply hydrates the skin and brightens the skin.
