With the take-out-only rule that all F&B businesses must comply with, and with all of us staying in during this Circuit Breaker month, F&B owners are concerned about fulfilling orders this April.

Friends who are cafe owners have called to ask if I can help in any way, and aside from ordering meals from them for the DC Team and myself, I figured I’d compile a list of F&B establishments you guys can support during this period (I’ve included some more suggestions from you guys — thank you for responding to my Instagram Story shoutout for recs!).

1. Brine Singapore (Halal-Ingredients)

Imran and I ordered from Brine for our lunch yesterday – he recommends the Torched Beef Chuck Foie Gras with Gruyère ($12), and I recommend the Steamed Seabasss with Potato Gnocchi Dumplings ($13). Takeout can be ordered via their website, and delivery is free for orders above $40!

2. Bakers Bench Bakery

To perk everyone up at home, I ordered today’s lunch for the whole team from Bakers Bench Bakery. Get made-daily Sourdough Loaves ($2.50 – $10) or Croissants ($4 – $5.50) delivered to your doorstep, or opt for hot meals like the Grilled Cheese ($12) or Grilled Broccoli ($8). If you’re in for something sweet, you can be like my friends Lauren and Charlotte and get a box of Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies ($3 a piece). If you’re ordering within the Tanjong Pagar vicinity, delivery is free (min. order $15). If you’re ordering outside of the Tanjong Pagar vicinity, delivery is free island-wide (min. order $50). Direct Message them on Instagram to place your order, payment will be via PayNow.

3. Parallel (Cold Brew Coffee Subscription)

If you are a sucker for cold brew like my husband is, then perhaps you can get your coffee fix delivered to you weekly ($25 for a 6 pack of Single Origin Cold Brew). Order online via their website, delivery fee will be charged at $3 per trip. What’s great is their bottles are recyclable. Leave the bottles at your door once you’re done and they’ll pick them up on your next order.

4. Afterglow & List of Other Vegetarian Options

Kind soul Eunice Tan has actually compiled a list of over 100 Vegetarian F&B Establishments in this Google Spreadsheet, a great way to explore all your choices if you are on a Vegetarian Diet! Afterglow, a plant-based and gluten-free restaurant, is just one of the many options in the Google Spreadsheet. They are offering free islandwide delivery for orders above $50.

5. The Social Space (Eating and Doing Good At The Same Time)

A good weekend brunch option with their Smoothie Bowls ($10 – $12) and Toasts, The Social Space is not only a cafe, the space (useful to note when it’s safe to head out to shop again!) promotes low-waste conscious living through its ‘Refillery’, and is an advocate for inclusive employment — employing staff from marginalised backgrounds. They are only available for self-collection takeaway at time of publication, view their menu online.

6. The Populus Coffee & Food Co.

Skip the usually long lines at Populus by calling in advance to pickup your brunch or lunch order. The menu changes weekly! All medical professionals get a free cup of coffee at Populus when they flash their pass too!

7. Dolcelette (Seoul-Cafe Worthy Bakes)

In need of some cakes? Or if you’re reminiscing about that Seoul-Cafe you went to, then Dolcelette’s bakes will satisfy your craving. You can order via their website, all cake orders need to be placed at least 3 days in advance. Delivery is chargeable at $15 per order.

8. Project Açai

If you’re like Steph from the DC Team and crave Açai regularly, you can opt for Project Açai’s curbside pickup from their Holland and Katong outlets. Don’t venture too far from your home though, practice responsible traveling! (:
